New Delhi: The 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) drew more than one million attendees, as reported by Premjit Lal, Executive Director of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).
Upon the fair's conclusion on November 27, Lal noted that this year's event created substantial business opportunities for participants, according to an official announcement.
In the category for States and Union Territories, Puducherry earned the Gold Medal, Meghalaya received the Silver Medal, and Karnataka was honored with the Bronze Medal. Special Appreciation Certificates were awarded to Punjab, West Bengal, and Tripura.
For the Thematic Presentation by the States, Madhya Pradesh took home the Gold Medal, Odisha secured the Silver Medal, and Assam was awarded the Bronze Medal. Special Appreciation Certificates were given to Maharashtra, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu.
The ITPO also emphasized the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan during the IITF, advocating for cleanliness and sanitation among both exhibitors and visitors. The Swachh Pavilion awards were presented to Goa (Gold Medal), Kerala (Silver Medal), and Haryana (Bronze Medal), with commendations going to Uttarakhand and Gujarat.
In the Foreign Pavilions category, the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia won the Gold Medal, while Egypt (Milano Bazar) received the Silver Medal. Turkey (Tillo Hediyelik Esya Sanayi Ticaret Ltd. Sirketi) and Thailand (Thai SMEs Exporter Association) were jointly awarded the Bronze Medal.
In the category for Ministries, Departments, PSUs, PSBs, and Commodity Boards, the Reserve Bank of India was honored with the Gold Medal, Punjab National Bank (PNB) received the Silver Medal, and the State Bank of India (SBI) was awarded the Bronze Medal. Special Appreciation Certificates were presented to Coal India Limited and the Central Bank of India.
In the Empowering India category, which includes Ministries, Government Departments, SARAS, KVIC, and the Ministry of Social Justice, the Ministry of Rural Development (SARAS) was awarded the Gold Medal. The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) received the Silver Medal, while the Bronze Medal was jointly awarded to the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. Additionally, special commendations were presented to the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), and the National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC).
In the private sector, Jina Ranjit and Sons LLP took home the Gold Medal, while Supreme Industries Limited (Supreme Furniture) earned the Silver Medal, and Ananda Dairy Limited was awarded the Bronze Medal. Special commendations were given to Mittal Electronics (Sujata), Hamdard Foods India, and Romana Herbal Care Pvt. Ltd. (Rosa Hydrating Mist).
Lal extended his congratulations to all the award recipients across different categories and expressed appreciation to the participants and visitors for their ongoing support of the IITF.
