Housing Ministry Inks Development, Partnership Agreements For Sultan Haitham City

Muscat: Today, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has entered into agreements for development and partnership as part of the first phase of Sultan Haitham City (2024 - 2030). These agreements were signed at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, commemorating the first anniversary of the inauguration of Sultan Haitham City on May 31, 2023, at Bait Al Barakah Palace under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

The agreements encompassed two key areas: "Design and Management" and "Construction". In the first area, the Ministry signed an agreement with Ibn Khaldun Company to create detailed structural engineering maps for three school complexes. Additionally, another agreement was signed with Ibn Khaldun Company to develop detailed structural engineering maps for a rehabilitation center. Lastly, a third agreement was signed with Razeen Company to prepare detailed structural engineering maps for the establishment of a cultural center.

Moving on to the second area, an agreement was signed with Strabag Oman Company to construct five bridges. Furthermore, another agreement was made with Oman International Holding Company to design and establish the city's central experiment and control center.

In addition to these agreements, a tripartite agreement was signed between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Al-Abrar Real Estate Company, and Oman Housing Bank. This agreement aims to provide financing programs for individuals interested in purchasing residential units in Sultan Haitham City.
