Hotel Revenues In Oman Exceed OMR119.4mn During First Half Of 2024

Muscat: The income generated by 3-5-star hotels within the Sultanate of Oman during the first half of 2024 has increased by 8.6 percent, reaching a total of OMR119.49 million, as reported by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

This growth in revenue can be attributed to a notable increase in the number of hotel guests, which has risen by 10.7 percent to a total of 1,045,226 guests, compared to 944,268,000 guests during the same period in 2023. Additionally, the occupancy rate has seen a growth of 2.7 percent.

The number of Omani guests has also seen a significant increase, rising by 7.4 percent to reach 363,240 guests. Furthermore, the number of guests from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries has increased by 3 percent, reaching 75,066 guests. The number of guests from other Arab countries has also seen a rise, increasing by 11 percent to 49,040 guests.

The influx of European guests has been particularly notable, with a surge of 19.2 percent, reaching a total of 298,247 guests. Guests from the Americas have also seen a significant increase, rising by 19.2 percent to 32,090 guests.

Guests from the African continent have increased by 0.8 percent, reaching 5,528 guests. The number of Asian guests has seen a rise of 12.6 percent, reaching 159,187 guests. Lastly, guests from Oceania countries have increased by 15,619, indicating a growth of 12.6 percent.
