HM The Sultan Issues Three Royal Decrees

Muscat: Today, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued three Royal decrees. Royal Decree No. 23/2024 establishes the Al Jabal Al Gharbi Natural Reserve. According to Article (1), this nature reserve will be named "Al Jabal Al Gharbi Natural Reserve" and will encompass the areas specified in the Annex and map attached to the decree. 

Article (2) states that the Chairman of the Environment Authority, in coordination with the relevant departments, will issue the necessary regulations and decisions for the implementation of this decree. These regulations and decisions will cover the management of the natural reserve, the rules for public entry, the prescribed fees, visiting hours, permitted and prohibited activities, and the applicable administrative penalties.

Furthermore, Article (3) specifies that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into effect the day after its publication.

Similarly, Royal Decree No. 24/2024 establishes the Al Dhahirah Natural Reserve. Article (1) outlines the establishment of this nature reserve, named "Al Dhahirah Natural Reserve," and designates the areas indicated in the Annex and map attached to the decree.

Article (2) mandates the Chairman of the Environment Authority, in collaboration with the relevant departments, to issue the necessary regulations and decisions for the implementation of this decree. These regulations and decisions will encompass the management of the natural reserve, regulations for public entry, prescribed fees, visiting hours, permitted and prohibited activities, and applicable administrative penalties.

Article (3) stipulates that this decree must be officially published in the Official Gazette and will come into effect on the day after its publication date.

Royal Decree No. 25/2024 officially establishes the Wahat Al Buraimi Natural Reserve.

Article (1) outlines the creation of the nature reserve named "Wahat Al Buraimi Natural Reserve" and designates specific areas as indicated in the attached Annex and map.

Article (2) mandates that the Chairman of the Environment Authority, in collaboration with relevant departments, will issue necessary regulations and decisions for the implementation of this decree. These regulations will cover the management of the natural reserve, rules for public access, fees, visiting hours, permitted and prohibited activities, and administrative penalties.

Article (3) requires the publication of this decree in the Official Gazette and its enforcement starting from the day following its publication date.
