Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has been presented with a written message from Gen. Abdul Fattah Al Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in the Republic of Sudan. The message pertains to the relations between Oman and Sudan.
The message was delivered to Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, during his meeting with the Sudanese envoy, Hussein Awad, who represents the Chairman of Sudan's Sovereignty Council and serves as the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs. The meeting took place in Muscat today.
During the meeting, both parties discussed the bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance them in various sectors, with the aim of advancing mutual interests.
Furthermore, they addressed the current developments in Sudan and emphasized the significance of fostering dialogue and wisdom to safeguard the Sudanese people's paramount interests and fulfill their aspirations for security, stability, and development.
Several officials from both sides were present at the meeting.
