Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has conveyed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to His Eminence Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the wake of the tragic demise of His Excellency President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation. The unfortunate incident occurred when the helicopter they were traveling in crashed in East Azerbaijan Province, northwest of Iran.
In his cable, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to His Eminence and the bereaved families. His Majesty also offered prayers to Allah Almighty, beseeching Him to grant eternal peace to the departed souls in paradise, bestow patience upon their families, and safeguard His Eminence and the friendly Iranian people from any harm.
