Foreign Ministry Officials Offer Condolences On Death Of President Raisi At Iranian Embassy

Officials from the Foreign Ministry of the Sultanate of Oman have expressed their condolences at the Iranian Embassy in Muscat following the tragic death of President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi and his delegation. Today, a number of esteemed officials visited the embassy to offer their sympathies. 

The Oman News Agency (ONA) reported that the President and his accompanying delegation lost their lives in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. The officials were warmly received by His Excellency Mousa Farhang, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Oman, along with other members of the diplomatic mission.

They conveyed their heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the embassy, government, and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Commending the efforts of the late President and his Foreign Minister in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and enhancing relations between the two nations, they emphasized the robust nature of the bilateral ties.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman expressed profound gratitude for the embassy visit to offer condolences. He extended best wishes for the progress of Oman and further advancement and prosperity in the bilateral relations between the two countries.

At the end of the visit, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harithi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, penned words of condolences and sympathy in the embassy's register on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He prayed for the souls of the departed to rest in peace in paradise and for the friendly Islamic Republic of Iran to continue to prosper and remain secure.
