Muscat: Khimji Ramdas Shipping LLC (KR Shipping), a comprehensive shipping and multimodal logistics provider in Oman, successfully supported the inaugural season of Costa Smeralda in the Sultanate, solidifying its position as a significant contributor to the region's cruise sector.
The vessel, a flagship of the Costa fleet, made its first arrival in Oman on December 19, 2024, after completing a journey around Africa from the Mediterranean before starting its planned operations in the Arabian Gulf.
During the season, Costa Smeralda conducted one-week round-trip cruises from Dubai, with scheduled stops in Muscat (Oman), Doha (Qatar), and Abu Dhabi (UAE).
On March 3, 2025, the ship departed from Muscat, beginning a 37-day journey back to the Mediterranean. On its way to Genoa, Italy, scheduled for April 7, 2025, the vessel will visit Mauritius, South Africa, Namibia, the Canary Islands, Morocco, Spain, and France (Corsica).
KR Shipping was pivotal in overseeing the ship’s operations, providing efficient port services and logistical support for each visit to Port Sultan Qaboos in Muscat.

The ship accommodates around 6,600 passengers and 1,678 crew members, measuring 323.6 meters in length and 37.2 meters in width.
It features 1,550 cabins, a wide range of entertainment options, two swimming pools, a health club, and 11 distinct restaurants, providing guests with a luxurious and immersive experience.
