Ain Darbat An Important Tourist Destination In Dhofar Governorate

Ain Darbat, situated east of the Wilayat of Taqah on the main road to the Wilayat of Mirbat in Dhofar Governorate, offers a stunning view of nature with its lush forests of large trees, cactus, sidr trees, and coconut trees along the valley foothills.

Known as one of the most significant water springs in Dhofar Governorate, Ain Darbat's waterfalls flow for several months, replenishing the groundwater reserve in the region.

Wadi Darbat, a natural park, features waterfalls, lakes, mountains, and caves with fossilised limestone deposits, as well as diverse wildlife and green plains.

During autumn, a 100-meter waterfall forms in the valley, cascading down a serene mountain slope towards the north.

Travelers can catch a glimpse of the Darbat Falls from the main road when the water is flowing, and witness the spring come to life when heavy rain causes the water level in Wadi Darbat to rise.
