It is anticipated that the "Green Mountain Summer" events will play a crucial role in drawing in more tourists from both within and outside Oman, aligning with the second edition of the " Rummana " event in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar, which began on June 4 and is scheduled to run until mid-September. This event is part of the Wilayat's agricultural tourism initiatives and projects.
The event is designed to promote the culture of eco-friendly farming tourism and offer fresh, unique experiences to draw in visitors, while also boosting the local economy.
This particular event also aims to improve the farming tourism experience for guests visiting the Green Mountains, by expanding the variety of tourism offerings and products, thereby elevating the Green Mountains' status as a top destination for tourists, culture, and agriculture in the area, and helping farmers sell their surplus products.
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is eager to attract investments in Jabal Al Akhdar, focusing on projects that boost tourism, including tourist resorts, hotels, rest houses, and guest houses, all of which help increase tourism in Jabal Al Akhdar and benefit the local community through tourism activities.
