White Coat Ceremony For A Batch Of 166 Doctors Organised

Sohar: The National University of Science and Technology, through its College of Medicine and Health Sciences in Sohar, held the annual white coat ceremony on Wednesday for a group of 166 doctors.

Undersecretary for Health Affairs at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Said bin Hareb Al Lamki, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by several officials.

In his speech, Dr. Salim bin Khamis Al Araimi, Deputy to the Vice Chancellor of the University for Academic Affairs and Research, highlighted the important role played by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Health, and all government sectors in the advancement and development of the university's graduates in the medical field.

Professor Mohammed bin Ali Al Shafee, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, emphasized that the 18th edition of this annual ceremony is a significant tradition that marks the beginning of clinical training.

The ceremony included a video presentation showcasing the different stages of training in various healthcare institutions, as well as the recognition of healthcare establishments and doctors who have contributed to the clinical training of medical students. Additionally, the new doctors donned their white coats and took the medical oath.
