Muscat: On Tuesday, the Health Department activated the Emergency Management Centre and the Medical Response and Public Health Division in response to the shooting event that occurred on the evening of Monday in the Wadi Al Kabir region of Muscat Governorate.
The Emergency Management Centre reported that the Health Department, working together with its healthcare facilities and employees, started tackling the event in cooperation with the University Medical City, the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority, and private healthcare centers.
The Emergency Management Centre highlighted that Khoula Hospital, chosen as the main institution for treating injuries, got assistance from expert medical teams from the Royal Hospital and the University Medical City. More than 50 experts in emergency medicine were deployed to handle the injuries.
