Muscat: By the end of January 2025, the total value of real estate transactions in the Sultanate of Oman was recorded at RO 185.5 million, a decrease from RO 207.8 million during the same period in 2024, reflecting a decline of 10.8%, as reported by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The fees generated from completed legal transactions amounted to RO 7 million, marking an increase of 5.6%. The value of sale contracts accounted for 79.9% of the total, which represents a decrease of 20.9%, with 5,688 contracts processed, a reduction of 7.1%.
The total value of mortgage contracts saw a slight decline of 0.8% by the end of January 2025, totaling RO 104.5 million across 1,705 contracts. Additionally, there were 152 barter contracts valued at RO 1 million.
The issuance of title deeds by the end of January 2025 experienced a minor decrease of 0.1%, totaling 20,588. Among these, 119 title deeds were issued to GCC citizens, reflecting an increase of 19%.
