Travelling To The UAE? Now You Can Extend Your E-Visa

Muscat: Citizens of Oman, along with their accompanying individuals, are now eligible to apply for a 30-day electronic visa to facilitate entry into the United Arab Emirates. This application can be extended for an additional 30 days, as announced by the UAE Digital Government on their official Twitter account.

In a statement disseminated on Monday, the UAE Digital Government clarified, "Residents of the GCC are required to submit their visa applications online prior to their arrival in the UAE. The duration of the visa is initially set at 30 days, which can be extended a maximum of one additional 30-day period."

Previously, Omani residents faced restrictions in extending their visas within the UAE. They were compelled to depart the country and reapply for a new entry visa upon their return.

The process for submitting the online application is available through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, or through travel agencies operating within Oman.

Travel agencies in Oman typically charge approximately Omani Rials 35,000 for a 30-day electronic visa to enter the UAE.
