Tourism Hackathon 2025 To Be Launched In Duqm From 27 August

Duqm: From August 27 to 31, 2025, a youth ideas competition called Tourism Hackathon 2025 will take place in Duqm, Governorate of Al Wusta.

The Sultanate of Oman's Ministry of Heritage and Tourism collaborates with the commercial sector to organize the event, which aims to advance the country's tourism and hospitality industries.

The goal of the hackathon is to offer a forum for young people, entrepreneurs, and inventors to generate innovative solutions that adapt to the changing reality of the tourist industry.

In the long term, the competition is expected to encourage and enable gifted Omani youngsters to think creatively and tackle challenges with useful solutions that contribute to the advancement of sustainable development and the competitiveness of the tourist industry.

The celebration also provides an opportunity to reinforce the Sultanate of Oman's dedication to promoting innovation and developing future skills in the tourism and hospitality industries.

Innovators, entrepreneurs, and students from universities and colleges will attend the hackathon. It will address themes such as kinds of smart tourism destinations, tourist experiences, tourism events and activities, sustainable tourism, digital innovation, and the preservation of heritage and culture.
