Dubai: The Sohar Recovery Centre project has been awarded the Best Quality Recovery Award for its exemplary services in the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals struggling with drug and psychotropic substance addiction.
This accolade was revealed during the 5th Middle East and North Africa Public-Private Partnership Forum (5th PPP Forum 2025) that took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Sohar Recovery Centre project is part of a public-private partnership initiative managed by the Ministry of Finance, which aims to stimulate private sector investment in infrastructure and public services by delivering innovative solutions and fostering sustainable development.
In February 2025, the Ministry of Health entered into an agreement with Salwa Healthcare company to manage, expand, and operate the new recovery centre located in the Wilayat of Sohar.
This agreement, reached in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, is designed to transform the facility into a centre of excellence capable of providing high-quality treatment and rehabilitation services for those addicted to drugs and psychotropic substances.
The agreement underscores the company's dedication to managing the centre's units, which, in its initial phase, offers 30 rehabilitation beds along with a 25-bed detoxification unit.
