Muscat: The State Council Office convened its sixth meeting of the second regular session during the eighth term on Tuesday. Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, led the meeting.
The State Council Office hosted members of the special committee established to look at the Mechanism for Diversifying Sources of Income in the Sultanate of Oman.
The committee was tasked with identifying the obstacles to financial sustainability and source diversification in order to find solutions and make the required growth in income diversification and financial sustainability.
The committee was also charged with developing proposals to support the stability of public finances in the 11th Five-Year Plan, including legislative and governance measures.
