Muscat: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) has made significant strides in the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Academic Programmes, advancing 25 places globally in its petroleum engineering specialization. In the nursing field, SQU secured the 32nd position, placing it among the top 50 programs worldwide.
Additionally, the university celebrated another milestone as six of its disciplines entered the top 300 global rankings. These disciplines include accounting and finance, education, chemical engineering, agriculture, environmental sciences, and electrical engineering.
Several other SQU specializations also experienced improvements in their global standings, elevating their rankings to within the top 600 worldwide. These include English Language and Literature, Economics, Mechanical Engineering, Business and Management, Computer Science, Medicine, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
These accomplishments underscore Sultan Qaboos University's dedication to aligning with global standards of excellence in higher education and research, further solidifying its reputation as a distinguished international academic institution.
