Several Arrested For Committing Crimes Across Oman

Muscat: The Oman Customs Authority has confiscated over 11,500 cigarette cartons, which were found to be in violation of both restricted and prohibited substances, following a search operation at the residence of an expatriate in the Muscat Governorate.

In a press release posted on the official website of Oman Customs, it was disclosed that the Compliance and Risk Assessment Department conducted an inspection at the residence of an individual of Asian descent in Amerat. During this operation, a total of more than 11,500 restricted and prohibited cigarette cartons were discovered.

Furthermore, the statement further detailed that the operation extended to a local shop in the Seeb market, where additional items were seized. These included over 430 cigarette cartons and 305 kilograms of tobacco derivatives, further highlighting the extent of the operation.

A collective of foreign women has been apprehended for engaging in immoral activities and soliciting alms in Muscat Governorate.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has reported: "The Muscat Governorate Police Command has taken action against a group of women from various nations for their involvement in immoral activities and soliciting donations. The legal processes against them are in full swing."

One Woman Found Guilty of Khat Drug Possession

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has made an arrest for the possession of over 100 bundles of khat in Dhofar Governorate.

In a statement, the ROP has disclosed: "The Dhofar Governorate Police Command, in collaboration with the Special Tasks Unit in Salalah, has apprehended an individual found in possession of more than 100 bundles of khat. The legal proceedings against him are progressing."
