The Ministry of Labour has confirmed that national job-seekers will continue to be employed by the military and security apparatuses based on the actual workforce needs.
Yahya bin Mohammed Al Battashi, Director of the Department of Other Units Affairs at the Ministry of Labour, stated that citizens who have met the required terms and conditions but were not included in the initial sorting will have the opportunity to compete for available jobs in the military and security apparatuses.
He also mentioned that employment in these sectors will be determined by the population density in the wilayats of the Sultanate, and emphasized that the youth's employment in the military and security apparatuses is a top priority.
Al Battashi emphasized that a significant number of citizens have been selected for potential employment in the military and security sectors, as long as they fall within the age range of under 27 for the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and under 25 for the Ministry of Defence, SAF, and Royal Guard of Oman (RGO), and fulfill all other necessary requirements. This includes holding a general education diploma, passing medical and fitness evaluations, as well as meeting height and weight standards.
Furthermore, individuals with university degrees are encouraged to stay tuned for upcoming announcements regarding opportunities within the military and security sectors. For these positions, candidates must be 27 years old for the Ministry of Defence and Sultan Armed Forces, and 35 years old for the ROP.
Al Battashi advised those interested in pursuing careers in the military and security fields to register their profiles on the (taj.mol.om) platform, and to stay updated on Ministry of Labour notifications through various media channels and social media platforms.
