Sayyid Fahd Receives Egypt’s Head Of Supreme Council For Media Regulation

Muscat: Today, HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, was honored to receive Karam Gabr, the Head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

At the commencement of the meeting, Karam Gabr extended the warmest greetings from the Egyptian leadership to their Omani counterparts. He also expressed his country's sincere wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the people of Oman.

HH Sayyid Fahd emphasized the government's commitment to supporting the media in Oman, recognizing the media's pivotal role in sustainable development. He also commended the media professionals of Oman for their dedication to integrity in their coverage.

Throughout the duration of the meeting, the delegations reviewed their bilateral relations and discussed strategies to further enhance media cooperation. This included the exchange of expertise and visits by media personnel. Additionally, they addressed regional issues and the collective efforts to address violations aimed at ensuring security and stability in the region.

The Egyptian official also praised the Sultanate of Oman for its wise and balanced approach to policy and its contribution to fostering understanding and constructive dialogue among nations, a policy that has earned Oman widespread respect and appreciation.

Furthermore, he highlighted the significance of the consultations he has conducted with Omani officials, which have had a positive impact on bilateral relations.

The meeting was graced by the presence of Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, and Khalid Abdul Halim Radi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Sultanate of Oman.
