Muscat: Today, HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, graciously received Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban. Dr. Shaaban serves as the Political and Media Advisor to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic and is also the Chairperson of the Wathiqat Wattan Organisation.
HH Sayyid Fahd extended his warmest regards to the leadership of Syria and expressed his hopes for the continued development and prosperity of the Syrian people.
The meeting further explored the dynamics of Omani-Syrian relations and strategies to enhance cooperation. It also addressed the agenda of the international conference hosted by the National Records and Archives Authority in collaboration with the Syrian Wathiqat Wattan Organisation.
Both parties emphasized the significance of collaborative Arab efforts in safeguarding historical legacies and documents, as well as in sharing expertise in these areas. Discussions also covered regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
The visiting delegation from Syria, led by Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban, expressed their satisfaction with their visit to Oman and the advancements made across various sectors.
Additionally, Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban highlighted the value of the consultations she engaged in with Omani officials.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Hamad Mohammed Al Dhouiani, the Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority, and Dr. Idris Maya, the Ambassador of Syria to Oman.
