Muscat: On the occasion of Saturday, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, was the recipient of a telephone conversation with Hussain Al Sheikh, the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
During their dialogue, the participants engaged in discussions regarding the recent developments within the Arab movement on the global stage, particularly in support of the Palestinian cause and its aspirations for membership within the United Nations, as well as in opposition to the recent decision by the Israeli Knesset to obstruct the establishment of the Palestinian state.
Both parties expressed their appreciation for the outcomes of the Beijing Declaration, which aimed at fostering unity among Palestinian factions and reaffirming the unity of Palestinian decisions and the sovereignty of the Palestinian state over its territories in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, in accordance with the 1967 borders, and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from these territories.
