Muscat: In accordance with the decree issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the incumbent Minister of Education and the Chairperson of the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, the representative of the Namib Desert Environmental Education Fund, Republic of Namibia, was honored with the UNESCO Sultan Qaboos Prize for Environmental Conservation for the year 2024.
The Fund was recognized for its 17th edition of this prestigious award, commended for its significant contributions to the realm of non-profit environmental education. This initiative has engaged over 160,000 students across various educational tiers and diverse community groups since its inception.
