Nouakchott: On Tuesday, President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania welcomed Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, at the presidential palace in Nouakchott.
During their meeting, Sayyid Badr conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President El Ghazouani and the people of Mauritania. His Majesty also expressed his desire for further progress in bilateral relations.
In response, President El Ghazouani asked Sayyid Badr to convey his own greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and the people of Oman.
The meeting focused on the current state of relations between Oman and Mauritania, with both parties expressing their commitment to enhancing cooperation in various areas for the benefit of their respective countries and peoples.
Additionally, the meeting addressed several regional and international issues and developments. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, and Sheikh Saif Hilal Al Ma’amari, Ambassador of Oman to Mauritania, were also present at the meeting.
