Royal Opera House Muscat Welcomes Renowned Syrian Ensemble For Its Ramadan Concert Series

The Royal Opera House Muscat hosted another captivating concert in its Ramadan series featuring the Malawiyyin and Levantine Religious Chants Group from Syria, along with the talented Omani chanter Khalid Al Araimi.

The concert series, which commenced on March 18 and will conclude on April 1, aims to provide evenings of sacred prayer that evoke devotion.

Last night's concert drew an audience of over 300 people who were mesmerized by the exceptional performance of The Malawiyyin and Levantine Religious Chants Group. Formed in 2014 by the Damascus Quartet, the group consists of accomplished musicians who have honed their skills through various experiences and backgrounds.

The collaboration of Mahmoud Al Siad, Mohammed Shafik Al Chaar, Ghassan Al Srouji Kanani, and Mustafa Al Sheikh resulted in a remarkable performance, showcasing the group's dedication to excellence.

The concert at the opera house was a heartfelt and exquisite display of talent, highlighting the cultural exchange between Oman and Syria. Khalid Al Araimi, a gifted chant performer from Sur, Oman, brought his inspiring artistry to the stage, further enhancing the evening's cultural fusion.

The inshaad performance left a lasting impact on the audience, instilling a sense of cultural pride and historical appreciation within the Sultanate. It serves as a source of inspiration for aspiring chanters, showcasing the importance of dedication and talent in this art form.
