Muscat: The 2025 Royal Oman Police (ROP) Shooting Championship for Light Weapons took place today, Thursday, August 28, 2025.
The Special Tasks Police Command team won the Championship Shield and finished first in the overall standings in the women's events. The Sultan Qaboos Academy squad earned the second-place trophy, while the joint team from the General Directorate of Airport Security, General Directorate of Police Aviation, and the The Special Security Police Unit received the third-place trophy.
The Special Tasks Police Command Team received the Heroism Shield and first place in the overall competition. The General Directorate of Equipment and Supplies Team finished second, while the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences Team won the third-place trophy.
The closing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsen AlShuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, and other authorities.
