Registration Begins For Programme To Convert Graduation Projects Into Startups

Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has officially launched online registration for the 8th edition of a program designed to transform student graduation projects into startups. This initiative is aimed at Omani nationals and residents of the Sultanate of Oman who are enrolled in higher education institutions, including those pursuing university diplomas and postgraduate degrees.

The program is intended to inspire researchers and innovators while providing support to institutions in their efforts to turn creative ideas into innovative startups that can add value and contribute to sustainable economic growth. Additionally, it seeks to promote a culture of research and innovation, empowering talented students and innovators to excel in entrepreneurship.

The initiative is focused on fostering the development of a knowledge-based economy, enhancing the Sultanate of Oman’s position in global rankings, strengthening partnerships with the private sector, and ensuring sustainable funding sources.

This edition of the program features competitions in emerging technologies, water projects, and financial technologies.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation is leading this initiative in collaboration with various public and private sector partners.
