Muscat: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) marked the inauguration of the "Al Hashman Camp" for the Border Guards Brigade today.
The event took place under the patronage of Maj. Gen. Mattar Salim Al Balushi, the Commander of the RAO.
This inauguration is part of the modernization initiatives implemented by the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) and various departments within the Ministry of Defence. It represents a significant advancement in meeting sustainability requirements aimed at enhancing the national roles and responsibilities of the RAO and its units.
Following the unveiling of the camp’s commemorative plaque, the RAO Commander and other attendees received a briefing on the roles, responsibilities, and national duties of the Border Guard Brigade, which collaborates with other brigades, formations, and units within the RAO.
Subsequently, the RAO Commander toured the camp’s facilities and was briefed on its state-of-the-art equipment and resources tailored to its assigned duties.
The inauguration of "Al Hashman Camp" underscores the significant attention given to the SAF by His Majesty the Supreme Commander, reflecting his commitment to enhancing the capabilities of the SAF to effectively safeguard the nation’s achievements, ensure security and stability, and support developmental efforts within the country.
