Photography Week Begins At Sultan Qaboos University

The 'Narrative' Photography Week kicked off at Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat on Monday. Organized by the Photography Group of the Deanship of Student Affairs, this 27th edition features 41 photographic works ranging from portraits to nature pictures, and architectural photography.

The event also showcases artistic photography in the studio and abstract trend. Interactive corners such as the creative corner, video graphics, and the studio are part of the exhibition. The main aim of the week is to emphasize the role of images in conveying moral and narrative concepts, promoting dialogue through various thematic patterns. Visitors can vote for their favorite images, with a jury of university graduates selecting the winners.

The exhibition also includes a competition for the best short video, along with internal artistic workshops. The Photography Week will wrap up on March 20 under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Dr. Faris bin Turki Al Said, with the winners being announced on the same evening.
