Muscat: Search and rescue teams have successfully located and retrieved the individual who was trapped beneath the debris after a sudden gas explosion in a commercial structure in the Wilayat of Quriyat. The individual was rushed to the hospital in critical condition for immediate medical attention.
The explosion led to injuries for six individuals, with their conditions varying from moderate to critical.
On Thursday, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority reported that teams were actively responding to the incident, which also caused damage to a nearby building. Authorities are ongoing in their assessment of the situation while offering medical assistance to those injured.
