Jabal Al Akhdar: In the year 2024, the Wilayat of Jabal Al Akhdar in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate welcomed a total of 203,629 visitors, as reported by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The data indicates that 96,856 Omani citizens visited Jabal Al Akhdar, alongside 12,007 Saudi tourists, 1,175 Emirati visitors, 612 Bahraini tourists, 1,083 Kuwaiti visitors, and 653 Qatari tourists.
Additionally, the statistics reveal that tourists from other Arab nations numbered 7,734, while visitors from various foreign countries totaled 83,509.
Jabal Al Akhdar is recognized as a premier tourist destination in the Sultanate of Oman, attracting many due to its pleasant summer temperatures and cooler winters, as well as a wide range of hotel accommodations.
This wilayat is also a key location for eco-tourism and adventure tourism in Oman, offering visitors a variety of activities such as valley walks, cave explorations, and mountain climbing, all of which enhance the experience of engaging with the local culture.
