Muscat: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Thailand has issued a caution to Omani nationals residing in Thailand, advising them against renting motorcycles without possessing an international driving license.
In a formal statement, the embassy reiterated its warning to Omani citizens, urging them to avoid renting motorcycles without the requisite international driving license. Furthermore, it emphasized the importance of complying with local traffic regulations and wearing protective helmets to mitigate the rising number of accidents. The embassy also highlighted the necessity of patronizing rental establishments that are officially licensed.
"Should you find yourself in an emergency situation or require assistance, we strongly recommend contacting the Tourist Police at 1155 without delay. Adhering to these guidelines is crucial for your safety and to prevent any legal repercussions," the statement concluded.
