Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit Reviews Strategic Plans, Programmes

Muscat: Today, the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit conducted its second annual meeting with the vision offices in government institutions in Muscat. The meeting focused on reviewing the strategic plans and programs aimed at achieving the vision's objectives, assessing the progress of work in various projects, and proposing suitable solutions to overcome implementation challenges.

During the meeting, a guide was issued to the vision offices to streamline and coordinate efforts, making it easier for the vision implementation follow-up offices in government agencies and institutions to carry out their work.

Dr. Munther bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Deputy Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, emphasized the crucial role played by the vision offices as the bridge between the unit and the state's administrative apparatus. Their role ensures the quality of plans related to the vision and helps address challenges faced by initiatives. Furthermore, they ensure that strategic plans and programs are aligned with the goals of the "Oman Vision 2040."

The Ministry of Education presented a visual presentation during the meeting, highlighting the key starting points for activating the office's competencies. They also analyzed the strategic programs guide for the tenth five-year development plan and addressed the analysis of educational performance indicators in global reports approved by the "Oman Vision 2040."

Additionally, the Office of the Governor of North Al Sharqiyah showcased the governorate's executive plan and highlighted the significant achievements related to the vision's priorities in various sectors, including the private sector, investment, and international cooperation.

The Vision Office at the Development Bank highlighted its key accomplishments over the past year, such as establishing an in-country value framework and conducting several informative seminars for staff on the vision.

The Vision Office within the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion also presented its achievements in 2023, which included setting up a manufacturing industries laboratory, organizing workshops for the national intellectual property strategy, hosting development workshops for the construction sector, and reviewing over 55 detailed plans to ensure their quality.

In attendance at the meeting were His Excellency Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, the Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, along with leaders and representatives from various government institutions' vision offices.
