Muscat: The Foreign Ministry's official spokesperson has expressed the Sultanate of Oman's strong condemnation of the rising violence in the area, which has been triggered by Israel's unlawful missile assault on the Islamic Republic of Iran on June 13 and the following round of retaliatory strikes.
This includes Iran's recent missile attack aimed at sovereign sites in the State of Qatar—an act Oman considers unacceptable and reprehensible, as it violates the sovereignty of a GCC member state, contradicts the principles of good neighbourliness, and poses a risk of further regional destabilization. Such activities merely exacerbate conflict, endangering security and the lives and stability of regional inhabitants.
The representative emphasized Oman's complete support for Qatar and its right to take any essential precautions to protect its security and stability.
Furthermore, Oman asks for an immediate stop to all military and missile activities, instead advocating for dialogue, peaceful negotiations, and strict compliance to international law to address the crisis's fundamental causes and achieve a just and long-term solution through legitimate means.
