Oman Signs Pacts In Berlin For Development Of Tourism

The Sultanate of Oman has successfully concluded its participation in the International Tourism Fair (ITB) Berlin 2025, marked by the signing of several agreements and the initiation of partnership programs between the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and various tourism organizations and authorities from multiple countries.

These programs feature a range of collaborative tourism packages aimed at fostering ongoing tourism development.

The Omani pavilion at the fair attracted a significant number of visitors, showcasing the country's rich tourism offerings and heritage potential. It highlighted the diversity of tourism, investment opportunities, and the services provided by Omani companies present at the event.

Tourism partners engaged in numerous bilateral meetings with international counterparts to discuss strategies for implementing joint programs that would draw various international markets to Oman, thereby enhancing the tourism sector by promoting Omani products as an appealing choice for potential visitors.

Participating organizations shared their plans and initiatives designed to support tourism and the services available to visitors. They also highlighted the offerings and events organized by hotels, resorts, and integrated tourism complexes.

Saada bint Abdullah Al Harthi, Director of the Department of Markets Development at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, emphasized that collaboration between the Ministry and tourism partners plays a crucial role in creating a business-friendly environment that empowers tourism companies and hotel establishments participating in the ITB Fair, aligning with the Ministry's strategy and the national vision of the Sultanate of Oman.

The Ministry's involvement in these fairs is intended to enhance its visibility in the global tourism sector and establish a platform for specific tourism markets.

She further emphasized that ITB Berlin 2025 presents a valuable opportunity to engage with tourism companies from various international markets, thereby strengthening partnerships within the tourism industry.
