Oman Participates In International Tourism Exhibition 2025 In Madrid

Madrid: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, is participating in the International Tourism Exhibition "FITUR 2025," which commenced in Madrid on Wednesday and will run until January 26, 2025. This year, the exhibition features participation from 156 countries worldwide.

The focus of FITUR 2025 is on global tourism trends, cutting-edge technological advancements, and innovations within the tourism sector. This event serves as an excellent platform to showcase the unique tourism offerings of the Sultanate of Oman and to foster collaboration with international partners in the industry.

Leading the Omani delegation is Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, the Minister of Heritage and Tourism. Al Mahrouqi emphasized the importance of Oman’s participation as a chance to promote the country as a distinctive tourist destination and to engage with global tourism companies.

In a recent press statement, he mentioned that efforts are underway to establish a Tourism Representation Office for the Sultanate of Oman in Spain, aimed at increasing tourism from the Spanish market and creating new opportunities for global tourism expansion.

Alongside its participation, Oman has launched a promotional campaign featuring information panels about its tourism and heritage sites. This information is being disseminated throughout the exhibition halls, on buses, and at tourist attractions in Madrid.

Additionally, the FITUR exhibition has seen the introduction of a digital campaign by the national travel operator in collaboration with Destinia, a digital travel agency, to promote Omani tourism products.

The Sultanate of Oman's pavilion at the exhibition includes nine tourism institutions, companies, and hotel facilities.
