Riyadh: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the activities of the 12th Gulf Municipal Works Conference, which was convened in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), on Sunday.
This three-day conference, titled "Sustainable Municipal Action," is focused on the discussion of topics pertinent to the sustainability of municipal work, alongside the exchange of experiences and expertise among the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The delegation from Oman is led by Sheikh Hilal Said Al Hajri, the Governor of Al Dakhiliyah.
Additionally, the conference examined the significance of community involvement in the pursuit of sustainability within the municipal sector. It also addressed the challenges posed by climate change to the cities and infrastructure of the GCC.
An exhibition was also organized in conjunction with the conference to display products, technologies, and innovations, as well as to share successful practices in the realm of municipal action.
