Oman Participates In GCC Cybersecurity Meeting In Kuwait

Kuwait: On Monday, the Sultanate of Oman participated in the 4th meeting of the "GCC ministerial committee of cybersecurity authorities and centres" that took place in Kuwait.

The delegation from Oman was headed by Dr. Saleh Amir Al Kharousi, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Kuwait.

The discussions at the meeting covered a range of topics concerning the GCC cybersecurity system and the associated executive action plans. Additionally, it focused on enhancing collaboration among GCC nations in the realm of cybersecurity, joint efforts to improve digital protection, and strategies to tackle increasing cyber threats while developing digital infrastructure.

The meeting ratified the executive plan for the GCC Cybersecurity Strategy (2024-2028), which serves as a framework for international collaboration among GCC countries in cybersecurity and establishes a governance mechanism for information-sharing through the "Cyber Threat Information Sharing" platform.

Furthermore, the GCC Cybersecurity Podcast was launched during the meeting, and the minutes from the 4th meeting of the Cybersecurity Executive Committee were officially approved.
