Oman-Iran Foreign Ministers Call For Efforts To Ease Tension In Region

Muscat: Dr. Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has articulated that the relationship between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran is founded upon principles of friendship, mutual respect, and collaborative efforts on a range of shared concerns.

During their recent meeting, the two ministers underscored the profound nature of their bilateral relations, highlighting the depth of their historical and cultural connections, as well as the consistent expansion of economic interests that bind them together.

The discussion encompassed current challenges and issues within the region, with particular emphasis on the escalation stemming from ongoing Israeli aggression towards Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, alongside Israel's refusal to relinquish control over the occupied Palestinian territories and its disregard for UN resolutions and international law.

Furthermore, the two parties expressed their dedication to enhancing bilateral relations and strengthening collective partnerships, aiming to foster cooperation that promotes security, stability, and growth for the entire region.
