Muscat: The Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre has successfully achieved the prestigious International Food Safety Standard Certification (ISO 22000:2018) after a year-long effort to enhance food safety standards.
This significant recognition was granted following a thorough external audit conducted by a renowned global food safety auditing company.
Eng. Said Salim Al Shanfari, the CEO of Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, expressed his satisfaction with the center's achievement, stating, "Obtaining this certificate is a significant milestone in our continuous commitment to upholding international standards and ensuring the safety of our visitors, organizers, and all consumers at the center."
The center has witnessed a remarkable influx of approximately 1.5 million visitors in the past year (2023), highlighting its pivotal role as a prominent platform for hosting various events.
