Saham Fruit Festival Features Diverse Activities

Saham: The Saham Fruit Festival has begun in the Saham Wilayat of the North Al Batinah Governorate.

The event is coordinated by the Office of the Wali of Saham in collaboration with the Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources Department in the wilaya.

The festival's goal is to help local producers by offering them a direct marketing platform to sell their farm products, advocate sustainable farming techniques, and increase community awareness of the economic and environmental significance of farming. It also highlights the fruits and agricultural crops produced in the wilayat's farms.

The festival, which takes place at Saham Public Park, offers a range of activities such as booths for showcasing and selling local produce, expert workshops on modern agricultural tactics, and educational seminars on best farming practices.

Eng. Ahmed Ali Al Farsi, Director of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources in Saham, said that the Saham Fruit Festival provides an opportunity to increase local production and support farmers by allowing them to display their products directly. He also stated that the event helps to raise awareness about sustainable agriculture and emphasizes the agricultural sector's impact in local community growth.
