MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman has issued a statement of condemnation following the recent attack on the headquarters of the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) in the Kahramankazan area, located on the outskirts of Ankara, the capital of Turkey. This incident has resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.
In a display of solidarity, the Sultanate of Oman has extended its support to the Republic of Turkey, emphasizing its backing for the measures being implemented to ensure security and stability.
The Sultanate of Oman has conveyed its deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and to the Turkish government and people, extending their wishes for a swift recovery for those injured.
Furthermore, the Sultanate of Oman has reaffirmed its firm stance against any form of violence and terrorism.
The attack, which took place at the headquarters of a leading Turkish defense firm near Ankara, resulted in the loss of four lives and injuries to 14 others, according to Turkish officials.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was in Russia for discussions with Vladimir Putin, has immediately denounced the incident as a "heinous terrorist attack" targeting the state-owned Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).
"The terrorist attack against TAI, a cornerstone of the Turkish defense industry, is an abhorrent act aimed at undermining our nation's survival," he stated.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has reported that three victims are in critical condition, and that two of the perpetrators, identified as a woman and a man, have been neutralized.
