Ibri: The Sultanate of Oman, in collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), participated in the commemoration of the 94th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which took place on Monday.
This event was meticulously organized by the Secretariat General of the National Celebrations, in partnership with the Royal Oman Police (ROP), at the Empty Quarter Border Post. This strategic location serves as a conduit linking Oman with the land borders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The festivities were a testament to the deep-seated brotherhood and historical connections between the citizens of both nations, as well as their collaborative efforts across various domains.
The event featured a multitude of activities, including musical performances by the Royal Oman Police’s music division and traditional folk songs and dances from the folk troupes in Al Dhahirah Governorate, as well as air shows and free jumping competitions.
Dr. Mohammed Al Firaih Al Sharari, an advisor at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Muscat, extended his gratitude to both the Omani government and its people for their efforts in organizing such a memorable celebration.
He also highlighted the profound historical ties that bind the two countries.
The Empty Quarter Border Post is of significant economic importance to both nations, as it plays a pivotal role in enhancing trade, bolstering the transport sector, and improving logistics services.
The event was graced by the presence of numerous officials from both sides, underscoring the strong bilateral relations.
