Muscat: The Foreign Ministry hosted the fifth round of political discussions between the Sultanate of Oman and the European Union's External Action Service.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali AlHarthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, led the Omani delegation, while His Excellency Olaf Skoog, Deputy SecretaryGeneral for Political Affairs at the European External Action Service, headed the European side.
During the session, both nations evaluated current ties between Oman and the European Union and explored methods to deepen bilateral collaboration through strategic partnerships and economic agreements. They also discussed major regional and international topics of mutual concern.
Her Excellency Roua bint Issa AlZadjali, Oman's Ambassador to Belgium and Head of Mission to the European Union, Annette Weber, the European Union's Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, and other officials from both parties attended the talks.
