North Al Batinah Municipal Council Holds Meeting

Sohar: On Tuesday, the Northern Al Batinah Governorate's Municipal Council held its ordinary meeting, chaired by Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of Northern Al Batinah and Council Chairman.

The meeting discussed various development and service-related issues and projects around the governorate.

The Council addressed the findings of the Child Protection Committee meeting, which included the participation of specialists from the governorate's General Directorate of Social Development. The meetings centered on suggestions for improving child protection systems in North Al Batinah.

During the conference, the Council also invited representatives from the Municipal Council Department at the North Al Batinah Governor's Office, who gave a visual summary of the Investment, Infrastructure, and Services Studies: Inclusive Planning and Future Foresight project. This program seeks to improve planning efficiency and the quality of investments and public services in accordance with sustainable development goals.

In addition, the Council reviewed the outcomes of the second Governorate Development and Enhancement Committee meeting, which emphasized healthcare sector improvements in North Al Batinah. The meeting also discussed answers from appropriate authorities on a variety of servicerelated issues, including petitions to set aside property for a public park in the Al Sahlah district of the Wilayat of Al Khaboura.

Other important initiatives addressed during the meeting included determining appropriate locations for beachside sports facilities along the governorate's coastline, establishing the vehicle inspection area in car dealerships at Al Awhi in the Wilayat of Sohar, and renovating historic farms irrigated by Falaj Al Qabail.
