More Than 51,000 Students Registered At Higher Education Admission Centre

Muscat: As many as 51,027 individuals registered with the Higher Education Admission Center (HEAC) at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation. There were 25,706 males and 25,321 females.

The data represents the number of applications to the HEAC until the conclusion of the first round of registration for students to compete for government higher education seats, internal scholarships, commercial sector scholarships, foreign scholarships, and grants from Arab nations for the academic year 2025/2026.

During a "Choice Modification" phase following the publication of the General Education Diploma (GED) test scores in July 2025, applicants will be allowed to change their study choices.

The Higher Education Admission Center has stated that the results of the initial sorting will be released in the first week of July 2025.

These findings are based on students' performance in the first semester as well as the current ranking of their preferred programmes. The goal is for students to be able to revise their decisions and make the best option possible in collaboration with their parents.

The "Choice Modification" phase is critical for a student's admission since registration during this period becomes final prior to the "First Round Sorting. " Following this step, individual interviews, admission exams, and medical examinations are conducted in accordance with the academic program's requirements.
