Muscat: A family from Oman tragically lost their lives in a vehicular accident near Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. Among the fatalities was a 10-year-old child, who miraculously survived the incident.
In response to this devastating event, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo has offered its heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the family of the deceased.
"Upon receiving information regarding the accident from the Egyptian authorities, the Embassy immediately dispatched a team to the accident site, which is located 380 kilometers from Cairo. The team's primary objective was to facilitate the transportation of the deceased and to monitor the condition of the child, who was transferred to Cairo in the early hours of the morning under the care of diplomat Mahfuza Al-Ghazili," the Embassy has announced.
The transfer of the child to Oman will only proceed after receiving clearance from medical professionals, and he will be accompanied by a representative from the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman during his journey," the statement concluded.
