Meeting Focuses On Cooperation In GCC Civil Service

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour was represented at the 27th meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of Civil Service and Administrative Development Agencies within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.

This gathering took place in Doha, serving as a prelude to the upcoming 20th meeting of the Committee of Civil Service Ministers, scheduled for September 3, 2024.

The Ministry's delegation was led by Sayyid Salim bin Muslim Al Busaidi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development, alongside Khalid bin Ali Al Sunaidi, the Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council, and other Undersecretaries from Civil Service and Administrative Development Agencies across the GCC.

The discussions at the meeting covered a range of topics pertinent to collaborative efforts in the domains of civil service and administrative development. These included an examination of the GCC's strategy for civil service and human resources development from 2021 to 2025, alongside several collaborative projects among GCC member states.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed the implementation strategies for the practical training and expert exchange project, as well as the program aimed at recognizing competencies within the civil service sectors of GCC countries for the year 2025.
