Muscat: On Tuesday, the Muttrah Wali Office hosted a lecture titled "Decision Making Skills," featuring Dr. Hamad Al Mamari, the esteemed Wali of Muttrah, alongside numerous employees from various governorates and the local populace.
The primary objective of this lecture was to augment administrative efficiency and the proficiency of the employees.
The discourse was led by Dr. Hamad bin Hamoud Al Ghafri, a distinguished Lecturer in Educational Psychology and Self-Learning at the Arab Open University. He delved into the intricacies of decision-making and the principles of making optimal decisions to fulfill specific objectives.
Dr. Al Ghafri outlined seven critical steps for effective decision-making, illustrating how these steps can be applied to achieve the most satisfactory outcomes.
The lecture also explored the Weighted Decision-Making Criteria Matrix, a tool designed to facilitate the evaluation of various options for decision-making in a systematic and rational manner.
Participants engaged in interactive discussions, sharing insights and strategies for enhancing decision-making skills across different sectors.
